I thought I was the king of bloody noses So imagine my surprise When you came out bloodier than roses Toilet seat gave you two black eyes CH Jonesing for a Jedi moment Tripping for my tai chi montage Hoping for a happy ending 'Cuz right now I'm knee-deep in formage Hanging out a few days after chemo You told me you were almost feeling fine But then we had a little glass of wine Waiting for the evening, waiting for the morning Waiting for the next appointment, waiting for the next warning Waiting for the pain to stop Waiting for the other shoe to drop It's chemo day again, trying to push through Everything I grab keeps slipping out of sight It's chemo day again, and there's nothing I can do But surrender every moment, keep looking for the light CH Jonesing for a Jedi moment Tripping for my tai chi montage Hoping for a happy ending 'Cuz right now I'm knee-deep in formage Tripping for my tai chi montage I thought I was the king of bloody noses...

pixies 03:08
Twin pixies dancing the daylight into my eyes Hair tones, pheromones, broken bones perfectly disguised Bouncing in the door Giddy magic in the air Surfing in on a sunbeam Angels in their hair Smiles flashing in the afternoon Cutting through the silence of this awkward room "Best place in town," she says with a spark in her eye Happy to ignore the 25 years that lie between us I'm just gonna keep on looking at the floor 'Cuz you have no idea what life has in store Twin pixies dancing the daylight into my eyes Hair tones, pheromones, broken bones perfectly disguised Join us for a moment in our paradise Innocence for rent, why get so bent out of shape? The promise of something exciting and new, like all the rest This time will be different... This time will be different... I'm just gonna keep on looking at the floor 'Cuz you have no idea what life has in store I'm just gonna keep on looking at the floor 'Cuz you have no idea what life has in store I'm just gonna keep on walking toward the door 'Cuz you have no idea... You have no idea...

real man 01:46
Feeling kind of hungry, so I walked right in the door Wanted a slice of pizza but I got a whole lot more A stranger came up to me a man I'd never seen before He said, "do you want to die today?" "Do you want to die today?" I looked around for someone to speak on my behalf But their eyes were big as saucers and there weren't no time to laugh I could see his eyes were hazy, he was a million miles away So I let him keep his crazy I did not die that day What's a real man look like? A real man...

wolves 04:58
Airport security gate Can't go through unless you're leaving town And it really don't matter how old you are You're going through, or you're going down Just keep moving your legs, keep moving your feet Your right and your left, the best smile you can fake Twelve years old; now you're a man And don't you dare look back; don't you dare look back or your heart will break Ratchet You gotta lock it down Seal it tight so no leaks can be found Ratchet You gotta lock it down You got your oxygen mask; don't you make a sound Fallout Hit the ground and roll You'd better run for shelter and don't you tell a soul Fallout Don't you shed a tear Because the wolves will find you if they smell your fear The nice stewardess lady Will you take care of us, maybe? And when push comes to shove What would I give for a woman's love? Calling all planets from the bottom of a well Mercury's in retrograde, and I've got a story to tell Headlights in the mirror, knuckles on the wheel Sky's getting clearer; I'm losing my capacity to feel Fallout Hit the ground and roll You'd better run for shelter and don't you tell a soul Fallout Don't you shed a tear Because the wolves will find you...

family tree 04:38
Lying on my back Underneath my family tree Looking up through generations That preceded me In the stillness, mental illness Suicide, what a ride Broken dreams, and still it seems Not much has changed... still deranged And we all keep slipping farther away Trusted deceiver fans the fever No relief from disbelievers Shining armour, land of farmers Found a best friend, but around again Second family to protect me From the dogs that would attack In the stillness, mental illness And there's no turning back Throw me a rope A spark of hope Flames grow higher Forty years later, still "the liar" Lying on my back Underneath my family tree Looking up through generations That preceded me No oxygen to speak of Up there on the moon Better dance while there's still a chance 'Cuz they'll be coming soon Hold your breath To the death Silence is the key To loyalty And we all keep slipping farther away...

heavy eyes 02:12
Heavy heart, heavy eyes Heavy, I cannot disguise Heavy heart, heavy hand Heavy, I don't understand Heavy heart, heavy eyes Heavy, I cannot disguise Heavy heart, heavy hand Heavy, I don't understand All I want is to hold you, baby Tell you everything will be okay I spend my time trying to draw you closer You spend your time pushing me away You say I don't love you like you want to be loved But you don't love me like I want to be loved Heavy heart, heavy eyes Heavy, I cannot disguise Heavy heart, heavy hand Heavy, I don't understand Heavy heart, heavy eyes Heavy, I cannot disguise Heavy heart, heavy hand Heavy, I don't understand You say I don't love you like you want to be loved But you don't love me like I want to be loved You say I don't love you like you want to be loved But you don't want to be loved, you don't want to be loved by me...

pretty masks 01:32
I'd gladly dance across hot coals to avoid walking on eggshells with you So why don't we drop these pretty masks and tell the plain old truth

When I'm dizzy from the daylight When I stumble through the night Looking back over my shoulder Something keeping me in sight Loving Black Dog When the wind is blowing trouble When my mind is haunting me When the riptide takes me under And I can no longer breathe Loving Black Dog

about

About two-thirds through the movie, after assumptions are questioned and everything trusted is thrown into chaos, our hero reaches deep down to find a previously unknown strength and resolve. Cue slow motion and magical soundtrack as protagonist realizes there's no going back. In the movies, the hero gets a tai chi montage. In real life, where's the 'slow motion' knob?

Thank you:
Adam, Scott, Jason, Glenn, Katie, Matt, Chuck, Justin, and most of all, Cheryl.
